Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. We are currently seeking an experienced CMO (Configuration Management Office)?Staff Systems Engineer to provide leadership of our NASA Programs Configuration Management Office (CMO) team at our Promontory, Utah offices.



Role Description & Responsibilities:



The CMO Systems Engineer is responsible for definition, maintenance and implementation of CM systems, methods and tools for multiple NASA Programs.? The CMO Systems Engineer functionally reports to the NASA Programs Office, and represents NASA Programs? interests in pursuing cross-functional and division-wide CM-related initiatives.



Job Duties:




  • Prepares and maintains program plans that define how configuration management will be accomplished on multiple NASA programs

  • Directly and professionally interfaces with NASA customers, DCMA, functional/integrated product teams, other prime contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in accomplishing CM for NASA programs

  • Drafts or provides input to policies and procedures that govern CM-related processes, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and pursue CM process improvements

  • Represents NASA Programs on committees aimed at integrating or standardizing CM-related initiatives across programs and across divisions.? Proposes and champions changes to driving requirements, where appropriate

  • Leads a team of CM, program and engineering professionals, ensuring CM processes are established and implemented through e.g. work instructions and/or training

  • Ensures data deliverables are submitted in accordance with contract requirements

  • Represents NASA programs in selection, development, implementation and maintenance of digital tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, and design/modeling/production software

  • Provides expertise and CM solutions in meeting customers? and company objectives

  • Performs troubleshooting and determines solutions for CM-related issues??

Experience Requirements:




  • Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of experience related to design, manufacture, procurement, inspection, test and/or project management of technical products

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of configuration management (CM) experience

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of team leadership experience

  • Ability to travel:? Travel expectation of approx. 10% ? 15%

Experience Preferred:




  • CM experience during all phases of a program is preferred

  • CM experience in the aerospace, or a similarly complex/critical, industry is strongly preferred

  • CMII basic (or similar) certification is preferred

  • CMII professional (or similar) certification is highly preferred

Skills & Qualifications:




  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and practices

  • Strong computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office? suite and PLM tools

  • Strong familiarity with digital tools, especially PLM administrator/programmer functions and ERP systems

  • Broad understanding of aerospace products and science/engineering practices

  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented, but able to understand the big picture

Qualifications

Education/Certifications



  • Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Engineering (aerospace, chemical, electrical, mechanical, material sciences engineering, or physics) required with 15 years of experience, MS with 10 years of experience, or PhD with 7 years of experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
