Full-time, Salaried Position (Onsite Position, Remote Possible) POSITION Overview:
A Tarter Sales Support Specialist aids the sales team to ensure customers' needs are met to the highest standards.
They'll complete clerical and administrative duties for the sales team, such as scheduling appointments, answering customers' questions, and informing customers of their order statuses.
Sales Support Specialists are responsible for generating and maintaining sales leads for distribution to the appropriate sales team members.
They'll maintain and distribute key indicator reports for the sales team to self-monitor performance, as well as provide additional reports to the leadership team for review.
Sales Support Specialists will also process various product or service orders as well as any requests for rush orders.
Working with multiple departments within Tarter will require Sales Support Specialists to have strong organizational and communication skills.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management, and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):
Compiling daily lists of leads and delegating them to sales team associates.
Maintaining an accessible and organized cloud-based filing system for sales and administrative professionals.
Handling all administrative duties for the sales department or team, including scheduling client conferences and meetings.
Aiding management team members and executives as needed.
Performing data entry duties regarding metrics, sales figures, and other key data.
Creating and processing sales in a timely manner.
Reporting any unusual activity to supervisors.
Expediting requests, rush orders, and altering sales orders and shipping information as required.
Providing customers with order and shipment confirmations.
Coordinating with multiple departments to gather pertinent information for the sales team and customers.

Reports to the Director of Sales Enlists the support of sales team members, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales, management and production resources as needed.
Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
Works closely with Strategic Account Managers, Key Account Managers, Field Sales Consultants, Marketing and Engineering to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

Qualifications:
Computer Literacy:
In addition to data entry and typing, Sales Support Specialists need to have advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing creation software.
As well as the ability to learn new software solutions in a timely manner.
Time Management and Organization:
These professionals use a variety of organization methods, including calendar management and other software solutions, to handle multiple projects at one time and completing tasks efficiently and quickly.
Customer Service:
Sales Support Specialists should have professional conversation etiquette, especially in person and over the phone when interacting with the company representatives, partners, and customers.
Communication:
Clear communication and the ability to explain concepts in simple terms are used to help the customer work through problems and accurately describe products.
Problem-Solving:
These professionals should be able to use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve issues with products and orders.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
A Sales Support Specialist needs to have a minimum of a high school diploma.
A bachelor's degree in areas including business, economics and marketing or relevant experience is preferred.
TRAVEL:
Minimum 25% travel both domestically with potential for internationally.
This position will be North America based with remote option.
